The Gospel of Thomas (also known as the Coptic Gospel of Thomas) is extra to the canonical gospels in the New Testament of the bible. It was discovered near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in December 1945 among a group of books known as the Nag Hammadi library. Scholars speculate that the works were buried and hidden after the declaration of a strict canon of Christian scripture, where any works that were not selected for inclusion in the new testament were ordered to be destroyed. Scholars have proposed dates of composition as early as 60 AD and as late as 250 AD as a collection of sayings of Jesus.

These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.
Gospel of Thomas Saying 44 - Blasphemy is duality.
Jesus said, "Whoever blasphemes against the father will be forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the son will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven either on earth or in heaven."
"Whoever blasphemes against the father will be forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the son will be forgiven."
Only within the ignorance of duality can one consciousness consider another consciousness to be separate from themselves, be it father or son, and so available to be blasphemed. Within this realm of duality, where separateness is perceived, one can forgive or ask for forgiveness from another.
"whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven either on earth or in heaven."
In truth there is only One that has true existence, that is Consciousness Absolute, here described as "the holy spirit”. Consciousness alone has timeless existence. This is the truth of non-duality.
If one blasphemes against anyone or anything then one blasphemes against Oneself. One has a choice, forgive oneself or blaspheme, Two cannot exist together in any state of experienced existence, "on earth or in heaven."
