The Gospel of Thomas (also known as the Coptic Gospel of Thomas) is extra to the canonical gospels in the New Testament of the bible. It was discovered near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in December 1945 among a group of books known as the Nag Hammadi library. Scholars speculate that the works were buried and hidden after the declaration of a strict canon of Christian scripture, where any works that were not selected for inclusion in the new testament were ordered to be destroyed. Scholars have proposed dates of composition as early as 60 AD and as late as 250 AD as a collection of sayings of Jesus.

Our Commentary on Verse 103 of Thomas Gospel.

These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.

Gospel of Thomas Saying 103 - A parable of a landowner and brigands.
Jesus said, "Fortunate is the man who knows where the brigands will enter, so that he may get up, muster his domain, and arm himself before they invade."

Jesus said, "Fortunate is the man who knows where the brigands will enter”,
The brigands will enter at a point of weakness. And "Fortunate is the man who knows” Where his weakness lies.
Jesus is talking of our spiritual strength. There are those without any true understanding, belief, or caring for such matters. Then again there are others who believe their own understanding is the right one.
In either case, some behave like brigands, they will attempt to waylay you or lure you into discussion or argument. The will see gain for themselves if they can show weakness or error in your understanding.

“so that he may get up, muster his domain, and arm himself before they invade."
Our understanding of what Jesus teaches us needs to be deep and strong lest we get waylaid by the ignorant.
This is a reminder to his followers not to rest in their search for truth but to get up, muster his domain“ and strengthen their knowledge and understanding. Our knowledge of the Absolute or God is what will guide and support us. it is precious and should be kept reinforced.
